This fruit salad recipe a good way to introduce and enhance pre-math skills that are taught in preschool, including categorization and counting.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 1 Clementine, Peeled, Seeded and Sectioned*See TIPS Section
  • 2 Tablespoons Orange Juice Concentrate, Defrosted
  • 1 Small Apple Sliced
  • 5 Dice-Sized Cubes Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Small Ripe Banana, Sliced
  • 1 Small Bunch Seedless Grapes
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  1. Lay all the fruit out in front of you.  Count the different types of fruit. Then count out the sections of Clementine’s you have.  Count the apple slices, banana slices and grapes you picked from the bunch.
  2. Add to a medium bowl with the cheese and orange juice concentrate and stir and eat!Numbers Salad

TIPS: You can substitute navel oranges for Clementine’s if they are not available.
