If you’ve been a parent for a little while, perhaps you’ve noticed that it’s not always easy to get your kids to eat their fruits and vegetables. If you’re not into epic meltdowns every time you offer them a snack of apples and carrots, or dodging flying peas at dinner, may we offer a solution: Green Smoothies.

Here at Green Blender, we’ve perfected the art of creating delicious smoothies that are packed with greens and superfoods, but don’t taste that way. Every week, we send our members a box full of the best organic greens, fruits, proteins, and superfoods, and all they have to do is load them into a blender and push a button. While we’re experts at giving busy parents, athletes, and healthy foodies the best nutritious drinks around, we haven’t forgotten the kids! Below are eight of our most kid-friendly smoothies – they taste so sweet, your little ones will never know they’re actually eating healthy.

Ice Cream Sundae Smoothie: Your kids will think they’re eating ice cream, but what they’re really eating is a supersmoothie full of kale, cherries, almonds, and Lucuma powder. Lucuma is an amazing superfruit from Peru that has a sweet caramel flavor. Antioxidants have never tasted so good!

Pink Lemonade: Searching for an alternative to sticky sweet lemonade this summer? Give them a glass of the real stuff. Strawberries, lemon, and banana create the perfect summer drink, with a little bit of added fiber and Omega-3s thanks to some fun chia seeds (not recommended for kids under three years old).

Tagalongs Smoothie: Chocolate and peanut butter are best friends, especially in this healthy smoothie. Peanut butter and avocado make this smoothie creamy and rich while adding great healthy fats and protein, and the Carob powder works as an antioxidant, antibacterial, and antiseptic, and has even been shown to improve digestion.

Vanilla Verve: There’s a commercial out there that says giving your kids a canned “protein drink” is a great way to start their day. Here’s a better way: Give them a protein, calcium and potassium filled smoothie that tastes like creamy vanilla yogurt.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Smoothie: The next time your kids are asking you for something sweet, pour them a glass of this cookie in liquid form (without all the added sugar). Gluten-free oats, cacao powder and cinnamon, plus vanilla almond milk, will satisfy their sweet teeth without sending them into sugar overload.

Candy Corn Smoothie: The bright color of this smoothie is sure to please kids of all ages, and the additions of carrot, apple, and pineapple is sure to please all parents. The perfect vitamin-rich alternative to their daily orange juice.

Almond Fudge Frosty: Trying to get your kids to eat more kale, or just salad in general? Give them this satisfying frosty and leave out the part where there’s a handful of good green stuff inside. Almonds and oats will keep them full until meal time, and cacao is the perfect low-sugar chocolate choice.

Mint Chocolate Chip Smoothie: It might just be the best flavor of ice cream, so it’s fitting that this smoothie tastes like a dream. Your kids won’t even taste the collard greens blended alongside banana, walnuts, cacao, and mint. We won’t tell if you won’t!

Making and sharing meals with our kids is one of life’s little pleasures, so why not improve your day and your health by whipping up one of these smoothies with your kiddos this week!
