We’re always looking for new family travel ideas at Kid & Coe, where we have a vast selection of rental properties, private homes, hotels and more to whet your appetite. Whether you want to be zooming down London’s newest attraction – a megaslide in the former Olympic park, opening this summer – making new friends in a family resort, visiting another new country or befriending baby animals on a safari of a lifetime, we have plenty to amuse and inspire.
Visit Kid & Coe to find out more.

Adventure

Morocco is intoxicating. We love this country with its beautiful homes, spas, dazzling markets and high mountains. Try Chez Max, a villa with a pool in a Berber village 20 minutes from Marrakesh and 20 minutes from the High Atlas mountains, or try out beach life, Morocco-style, in Essaouira, where our Dar Beida property oozes style and sophistication and was featured in a recent Madewell shoot.

WeekenderCatskills

Our current favorite spots for a summer weekend from New York City include North Fork, a bit quieter than the Hamptons, with pretty towns and family-friendly beaches. The Catskills, for swimming in freshwater ponds and streams, and its pretty mountain towns. Lastly, Cape May for sandy beaches on the ocean shore and pretty houses with white lace trim.

BeachSayulitaLoft2LivingRoom01

Sayulita, Mexico is our pick for a longer break outside the US. With a boho atmosphere, surf beaches and great food shacks, it makes a relaxing spot for all the family with plenty of sunshine and ice cream to keep everyone happy. We have a range of properties from a villa with pools just outside the town (accessible by golf cart) to apartments in the heart of the town.

Luxury

One of our newest additions to the K&C portfolio is a range of safari options, including tours in Sri Lanka, Costa Rica, South Africa and Kenya/Zanzibar. Imagine introducing the kids to giraffes first hand as they come to tea in one of Kenya’s most distinctive hotels, petting baby elephants in Sri Lanka or meeting local children in school in Costa Rica. These and many more bespoke options are available to create a family trip of a lifetime.

Relaxation

Sometimes only a resort with a pool will do. We have a good number of European properties on our lists with private villa and apartment accommodation plus shared gardens, playgrounds, swimming pools and activities, so you can relax, the kids can make friends, and everyone can enjoy the sunshine. Try The Country Kids Estate in France, where there is a creche, kids club, spa treatments and more, or the Il Tramonto Residence in Italy, where weekly pizza-making nights bring families staying in the estate together.

North-ForkCulture

Finding a home from home where all the family can relax and you have all the equipment you need is easy. Our range of private homes make it even easier to live like a local family in destinations around the world. We love London, Paris and Amsterdam for their museums, new attractions and cultural treats – and kids do too. Later this summer we launch a home swap option called Kid & Coe Exchange, designed to make it even easier to embrace family life in locations around the world.
Three Travel tips

1. Get creative with souvenirs. Plastic toys are fine, but beach shells, stones (even better if drawn on or painted) or a bus ticket can be just as fun.
2. Throwing a sarong in your handbag is always a good idea. You never know when you might need an impromptu towel or picnic blanket.
3. Try and bring something home from that vacation feeling. A taste for cucumber. An idea of a cake you ate or some home decor you admired. A postcard to frame. It makes you savour your vacation when you’re back home – and makes the happiness last longer.
