In a society that is saturated with apps that claim to make your life better/organized/convenient (fill in favorite life-solving adjective here), we picked out our favorite five (at this very moment) that we found might be helpful for families. Try ‘em out and let us know what you think!
RedRover – The social location-based networking app made for families who like to have fun! RedRover allows you to easily access all of your contacts (pulling from all your contact lists including Outlook, Google, iPhone Address Book), pick who you want to play with and schedule something on-the-fly. Let your friends know you’re in the neighborhood in case anyone around wants to come out to play. The opportunities for unexpected fun are endless with RedRover. Impromptu play dates have never been so easy!
Evernote – New York City is a treasure trove of ideas and inspiration. Evernote allows you to capture the little things (and big things too!) to use when you need them most. Once the information is stored, access it easily with a user-friendly search navigation.

Picksie – A location based “discovery” app that will give you personalized, timely and relevant suggestions. Cozi – Manage your organized chaos with Cozi, a mobile calendar and ultimate family taskmaster. With one account per household, you can stay in the loop with the comings and goings of everyone in your life (and make sure they know about yours as well).
Retailmenot – “A Penny Saved is a Penny Earned.” The popular coupon site launched a mobile app earlier this year and the company has big plans for their mobile users. Retailmenot takes the headache out of clipping coupons and offers an organized and easy way to save. Now who wouldn’t want that?
