The Mommy Master®, Ellie Hirsch chats with Gymtime about parenting and her latest CD, “Music is Magical.”
Writing for me has always been a wonderful way to express myself. I remember when I was in first grade and I sold my poems on the playground for ten cents each. When I came home with a dollar in my pocket, it was an emotion I will never forget. I felt so good about myself and was so proud that I could share my work with my friends. Thirty years later, nothing has changed and I still love to write and share my work with the world. Mommy Masters was created as a resource for parents seeking a flourishing family environment. We provide parenting tools to give moms (and dads) the confidence to master motherhood!
It truly does take a village to raise a child and the more we as women share about our experiences, including the good with the bad, the easier it is to master motherhood. When we are having a bad day, it’s encouraging to know another mother is also having a tough time and we are not alone. When we are having a great day, it’s wonderful to be able to share our successes and inspire other moms. Mommy Masters creates a comfortable environment, allowing you to express yourself and leave feeling more secure as a parent.
The newest addition to the Mommy Masters family is the unique, educational and entertaining children’s music CD, “Music is Magical.” Music is a wonderful communication and educational tool for parents that can be used in so many ways. It not only helps you bond with your child but it can help you teach your child while having fun. From potty training to manners and from counting to the first day of school, “Music is Magical” covers important topics parents and children experience together. Children learn through play in their early developmental years so you can make chores, such as cleaning up, fun. I created my songs, including “Cleanup Time,” specifically for that reason.
It’s not often parents and children can enjoy and benefit from the same music. My children love top 20 hits but the message and language isn’t always appropriate for them. Children’s tunes can be entertaining for the little ones but the music tends to be overly juvenile and typically can’t be tolerated by parents for long periods of time. I created “Music is Magical” for everyone to enjoy. Children AND parents will love the fun themes, different genres, current beats and witty lyrics.
