Make it Monday

The Froggie classroom at Early Learning Foundations Preschool has been learning all about winter. One of the Froggies’ favorite winter activities is playing in the snow! We decided to bring “snow” inside our classroom by making snow dough! The children loved molding the dough into different shapes – just like they do with real snow. Follow the instructions to make your own snow dough at home.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
  • 2 cups boiling water

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Mix flour, oil, salt and cream of tartar together. Slowly add in the boiling water until the dough reaches a desired consistency. Add white paint and glitter with extra flour as needed to create desired look

This is such a fun activity for young children, especially when it’s too cold to go outside! You can change the color to create different effects of the dough and let the kids play and create all afternoon! Have a ball!
