You may have noticed a new face at the front desk. Meet Monika Zsiga, the newest addition to the Gymtime family. 

What do you do at Gymtime? I am a front desk administrator and I coordinate birthday parties.

What is the best part of your job? Hearing children laugh and seeing their happy faces!

What was your first job? I was a cashier at a supermarket when I was 16 years old. I took the job during my summer break so that I could save money and take a vacation with my grandmother before school started.

Where did you grow up? Budapest, Hungary.

When did you come to the United States? When I was 19-years-old.

What do you miss the most about Budapest? My family. Most of my family members still live in Hungary. Oh, and my grandmother’s cooking!

What do you like most about living in New York? The diversity of people throughout the city. Being able to experience different cultures and traditions.

What is your favorite activity to do outside of work? I love to cook and read. But my favorite activity outside of work is to spend quality time with my 5-year-old son, making nice memories that we can cherish. We love to take nature walks.

What would the title of your autobiography be? “This is ME”

What is something most people would be surprised to learn about you? I am very emotional and sensitive.

If you could meet one person dead or alive, who would it be? My Father. He passed away last year.

What is something you never leave the house without? (besides your wallet, keys and phone!)  Ring that my mom gave me, a pencil that my father used to use and Lip gloss.
