Getting to Know Ms. Janelle
What is your role at York Avenue Preschool? I am an assistant teacher, currently in the “Twos Division.”
What is the best part of your job? Watching how quickly and dramatically the children progress over the course of the year.
What was your first job? My first job ever was as a dog sitter in my neighborhood. My first “real” job was teaching first grade at a Greek parochial school.
Where did you grow up? North Woodmere Long Island
What is your favorite activity to do outside of work? Going on long bike riding adventures with my husband.
What is something most people would be surprised to learn about you? I have a twenty-five year-old son and a nineteen year-old daughter.
What are three things you never leave the house without? (besides your wallet, keys and phone!) Gum, lip-gloss and my Pinkberry card.
If you could meet one person dead or alive, who would it be? Sarah Jessica Parker because everyone tells me I look like her.
