The holiday countdown is on and you know what that means: your mailbox is full of catalogs, your inbox is full of even more, and everyday your shopping list is growing. It’s overwhelming.

Want to decrease your holiday shopping stress and actually enjoy the spirit of the season? Laura Theodoros, co-founder and owner of Love, Laura Gifts, can make it happen. Her gift consultants will help you check those names off your shopping list and make sure you’re giving gifts others really want.

What began as a baby gift business in 2004, Love, Laura Gifts has grown into a full-service personalized shopping service that offers something for every occasion imaginable. Laura and her business partner Jodi shop trade, kid, and stationery shows to bring special new products—and only items they “LOVE”—from designers, artists, and entrepreneurs to their clients. After nearly a decade in business, personalized baby blankets are still her go-to new baby gift and she tends toward educational and creative for child birthdays. Although most of her clients are local moms, the company serves tri-state corporate clients and the bachelor set, as well. So no matter who you are, Love, Laura Gifts has got your gifting needs covered, from summer camp packages to, well, the impending holidays.

There’s always a reason to give presents. But aside from the usual housewarming, baby, and birthday gifts, this time of year is full of gift-giving opportunities that might prove challenging since we often wind up giving gifts to people we are acquainted with but whom we do not know well, such as neighborhood party hostesses, our kids’ teacher(s), and colleagues. “A bottle of wine is nice, but adding some personalized accessories says you really thought about it,” Laura reminds us. And Love, Laura Gifts has all kinds of customizable accessories to choose from.

Speaking of personalized gifts, what’s the most interesting gift she’s ever received? The stems from chocolate-covered strawberries given by her then four-year-old son. “The best gifts are simple, yet made just for me!” She laughs.

The company website shares a mission fitting for the holiday season: “Gifts make people happy. My goal is to make gift giving as happy an experience as gift getting!”

After the holiday rush, Love, Laura Gifts will gear up for Spring—their second busiest season—when clients are shopping for the perfect Mother’s Day and end-of-the-year teacher gifts.

Laura, who has been in NYC “forever,” was formerly a research director at a national radio broadcasting company. She has an 11-year-old daughter and a 9-year-old son.

Love, Laura Gifts is located on the Upper East Side, and personal gift consultants are available by appointment to ensure clients get individual attention. Consultants specialize in tailoring the shopping experience to the client, situation, and style of the giver and the recipient. You can also visit Love, Laura Gifts at www.lovelauragifts.com.
