Getting to Know Ms. Karyn
Karyn Smith has been an early childhood educator for more than a decade. As assistant director of Early Learning Foundations Preschool, Karyn has the opportunity to work closely with the children while acting as a mentor to fellow teachers.
What is your role here at Gymtime? Assistant Director of Early Learning Foundations Preschool.
What is the best part of your job? Seeing the progress of the students and working with the dedicated teachers.
What was your first job? After-School Counselor.
Where did you grow up? Born in Kingston, Jamaica. Raised in Bronx, NY.
What is your favorite activity to do outside of work? Walking around NYC, trying out new restaurants.
What is something most people would be surprised to learn about you? I’m great at impersonations.
What are three things you never leave the house without? (besides your wallet, keys and phone!) Blistex/Lipgloss, Umbrella and Altoids.
