From the PEP Room: Jim Dine Valentines

Jim Dine is a famous pop artist who is well-known for his heart paintings. His series of bold and colorful hearts serve as the perfect inspiration for a Valentine’s Day art project. Use this project to make valentines for your class, your friends and your family!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Construction paper
- Sizzors
- Oil Pastels (can be substituted with: crayons, markers, colored pencils or paints)
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Cut shapes out of construction paper (depending on the age of the child, the adult should facilitate this step)
- Color the hearts in using oil pastels (or whichever material you decide to use). Pull up some images of Jim Dine’s work as inspiration for color themes and patterns!
