Smoothies for Kids

Smoothies are an easy way to get children their recommended serving of fruits and veggies, especially for those picky eaters. Smoothies can easily be tailored to suit individual needs and preferences. And, even kids with allergies can enjoy them. Smoothies are a great DIY snack for older kids; younger operators will require adult supervision. Pour the mixture in a sippy cup and you have a convenient, healthy snack to grab on-the-go.

Tips: Instead of ice, use frozen fruit or chop up fresh fruit and place it in the freezer. The frozen fruit helps thicken the smoothie, without watering it down. If you are using bananas, be sure to peel before freezing.

Cheers!
