Delicious baked apples take a new, healthier spin on a traditional apple dessert.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- 4 Fuji Apples
- 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice

- 3 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
- 1/2 Cup Rolled Oats, Uncooked

- Pinch of Salt
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Remove the stems and seeds from the apples. Core to 1/2 inch to the bottom of the apple.
- Preheat oven to 350F. Drizzle lemon juice over exposed flesh of apple.
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, butter, oats, maple syrup, cinnamon and salt.
- Press the mixture into each apple and place in a baking dish. Add boiling water into the baking pan (the water should raise no higher than 1/2 inch from the bottom of the pan).
- Bake until the top is golden and the top is tender, about 35-40 minutes.
